Purchased in June 2023 for relatively short Minnesota summer. Worked great that summer. Stopped working in July 2024. No recourse after a 12-month warranty. Customer support experience was very frustrating and took far too much effort to reach a human. Unable to even register the product as LGs website doesnt recognize the serial #. Referred to 3 service centers that do not service portable AC units. This unit is not worth the $449 I paid.

Beautifully made product and attractive. Placing the exhaust tube in my Anderson side swing out window was a chore as the panels supplied are not meant for this type window. BTU output f this A/C sufficed for my living room square footage primarily getting rid of humidity. I have found that all South Korean made products have good quality.

The unit arrived broken. There is something inside that makes a loud rattling sound as if something is out of balance or loose. We have spent more than a week trying to work with LG customer service with no satisfactory results. It appears we are stuck with this thing and will use it for as long as it works putting up with the obnoxious noise.

We purchased the portable air conditioner about three weeks ago. It was shipped to us about a week later. It was extremely easy to set up and install. We were experiencing 95-to-103-degree weather. I was a little concerned about it only being a 7000 BTU and rated at 300 square feet. This is our first air conditioner since moving into this house. Well let met tell you...This unit is totally outstanding and awesome. It completely cools the whole house Absolutely love this unit.

Bad product. Bought it Sept 2022 during CA heatwave. Used moderately. Emptied tank cleaned filter covered and put in garage for rest of year. Used again during summer 23. Did the same care. Pulled out for the summer now.it turns on fan works but Im guessing refrigerant has ran out because the thing no longer cools on the cool setting and the exhaust that comes out is room temp. Less than 2 years later and its already crapped out. Oh and warranty has already expired. Greaaaaaatttt . Dont even get me started on trying to chat with customer service or schedule repair. Ridiculous .

Go this AC in July 2022 and it worked great for the summers of 2022 and 2023 but hooked it up today for the season and it does not blow cold air. All vents are clean and plugs drained. Did compression test by powering it off for a minute and turning it on high to the coldest setting but the compressor does not kick in. So didnt even get a full two years out of this unit. Opened up the case and found the compressor very hot and Im talking fire hazard hot and yet it wasnt even working. They should recall these units since I now read reviews here and on Home Depot where I bought it that they are failing within a year or two.

LG 7000 BTU portable AC

Benn using my LG portable for a little over a month. So far it has been excellent. Use in a 225 sq foot bedroom. Easy to set up and vent out the window. Its getting hot here in Arkansas and the unit has had no problem keeping the room very comfortable. I decided to get this unit for the bedroom and a window model for the larger living room to replace a central unit that went out. Saved about $10000 and no complaints so far.

Central air conditioning system failed no replacement parts were available for a month or more. Got the portable air conditioner--worked wonderfully even in Arizona 100 degree summer. I placed it in my bedroom that is pretty large and kept it cool. So cool I did not need to run it 24/7. Only deficit was that it was a bit noisy but a minor issue in 100 degree weather.

We bought this AC unit when our whole house AC failed. We used it in our bedroom for a week until the house AC was fixed. It works great but remember to put a large tray underneath it as it will leak some water. And it does create some noise while operating so I put earplugs in while sleeping

I bought this unit for my mountain cabin that is about 50 miles from home. I had it delivered to my home in town because delivery service to my cabin is very erratic. It was delivered to my home on Aug 7 and I took it to my cabin the next day. Set it up turned it onand it wouldnt make any cool air. Called LG and they said they would replace it but I needed to send a copy of my receipt. That was at home Went home and sent LG a copy of my receipt. Now they want a photo of the label and serial number cut up. Well that is on the machine back at the cabin.Went back on 8/15 sent the label photos and was told Id be contacted about a replacement delivery. I never was contacted but the replacement just showed up a few days later. Back to the cabin on 8/22 and set up the replacement unit. Nice cold air came out but didnt seem to be enough to really cool down the room 250 sq. ft.. I thought Id try repositioning the unit and adding a fan to move the air around more but the weather cooled off to 66 degrees. More hot weather should be coming so Ill try again then.

Original unit failed within several months during the off-season. LG replaced it with a new unit which failed after two months of use. LG has refused to replace/repair the replacement unit because the warranty has now expired. The compressors in these units are unreliable and cant be repaired economically.

I bought this unit in May 2023 and it died in July 2023. It does not cool the refrigeration unit is not working. As of this writing I contacted LG for a warrantee repair and I have not heard anything back back from them. A check on their website says the repair request is pending. I am not happy. We are going through a heat wave here and needed it.

But more importantly Ive been fighting LG Support for the last 8 weeks trying to get them to repair it return it or refund it and to get any sort of status what-so-ever on my claim. I purchased this for use in an enclosed patio. The patio measures 232 square feet and this LG says it is good for rooms up to 300 square feet. This unit cools the immediate area decently but not the entire enclosed portion. I utilize fans to help move the air around and it helps some but not enough. I would say this unit would be better suited for about 150 square foot area.

I bought the portable AC in September 2022 and used it for a month or so and it worked great. The room would get really fresh quick. I put it back in the box when the weather outside freshened up and took it out in June of 2023. It worked for about a month really well and then it just stopped working.
